Sculplla Treatments Not a Quick Fix

While you can (and often will) see results after the first treatment, the mask takes time to build up in the hair follicles of your face. The results are cumulative. Each time you get a treatment more is deposited into the follicle to stimulate your face to make more collagen. I usually suggest 5 treatments for clients over the age of 40, one per week; however, three is a good start.

What You Do After Your Treatment Matters

This is the only time I tell my clients they are allowed to NOT wash before bed! Do NOT exfoliate or rub with washcloth for 3 days. It takes 3 days for the mask to completely dry/cure.

Take Before and After Pictures

You see your face every day so it’s hard to see the gradual changes. It’s imperative to take good before and afters as we don’t see changes that happen. No make up, bright light. Remember, these are for your eyes only.

The PLLA in SculPPLA is a BIG Deal

It’s Ploly – L – Lactic Acid and SculPPLA is used to drive Poly L Lactic Acid (which is the exact same stuff you’ll find in the filler Sculptra), as well as a blend of anti-aging favorites like caffeine and niacinamide into the top layer of your skin to plump wrinkles.

Sculplla Has a Sister Named CaviPLLA

Not really but I like to think of CapiPLLA as a sister product because the same maker of Sculppla made CaviPLLA. Caviar + PLLA + 02 = CaviPLLA. It’s a new hydrating serum (which feels more like a cream) that helps with the build up process when you’re getting SculPPLA treatments. The Koreans love Caviar for the skin. They’re so smart and so advanced in the area of skincare. Get some here..

  1. What is Microcurrent?
Not to be confused with Microwaves, Microcurrent is a form of electricity measured in one-millionth of an ampere (micro-amperes or µA ); normal household current is measured in amperes (amps).

It is the closest known electrical current that can be delivered on a near identical magnitude as the electrical current the human body naturally produces on its own; it is therefore physiologic and safe. No harmful side effects have ever been recorded.

Traditionally used for healing purposes for over 60 years, its cosmetic effects were discovered by accident when a physician treating the face of Bell’s palsy patients with Microcurrent noticed them looking younger over time as facial wrinkles and creases reduced significantly.

  2. Is TENS the Same Thing as Microcurrent?
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) uses a form of a form of electricity measured in one-thousandth of an ampere (milli-amperes or mA).

Therapeutic Microcurrent, often called MENS, has been traditionally used for the healing of injury, while TENS is used to block the pain from injury; therefore TENS has no curative value, only suppressive.

Microcurrent is up to 1000 times less powerful than TENS, and should not cause muscle contraction when used properly, especially for cosmetic purposes. True Microcurrent is subsensory and its energy strength is so moderate, that it would take about 1-million Microcurrent machines to light up a 40-watt light bulb.

  3. How long has Microcurrent technology been around?
The discovery that electrical current in the body is disrupted by wounds occurred In the 1830’s when Carlos Matteucci proved that an electrical current was generated by injured tissue, but it wasn’t until 1843 that the existence of wound currents was first experimentally observed by Dubois-Reymond.

Nearly 100 years later, the Japanese would rely upon this discovery to use Microcurrent on its soldiers during WWII, as Japanese physicians found that small electrical currents promoted the mending of non-healing bone fractures, reducing the time it took to heal.

The first commercial device outputting microcurrent stimulation was the Dermatron, developed in the 1960’s by Dr. Reinhold Voll of Germany. Mainstream use would eventually find the technology treating a variety of nonunion fractures and bone implants as an accepted procedure among orthopedic surgeons. The technology further progressed to treating pain in burn patients and sports injuries.

Medical doctors, physical therapists, acupuncture physicians, and chiropractors have since relied upon Microcurrent for decades, but its use in cosmetics is fairly recent, born out of one physician successfully treating Bell’s palsy patients for paralysis, noticing that the facial lines were much softer, the face more lifted, and the eyes less droopy. It is still used in the treatment of Bell’s palsy patients to this day.

Other successful uses of Microcurrent in the medical community have achieved results include: Tempero-Mandibular Joint Dysfunction, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Macular Degeneration, Scoliosis, Tinnitus, Tic Doloreaux, and even clinical depression, anxiety, and insomnia.

  4. Are there any harmful side effects or pain during or after the treatment?
None. Not only is our treatment painless, but clients look forward to the relaxing experience. Our Microcurrent waveforms are very inducing, and many fall asleep during the session. Afterwards clients feel euphoric, as though they just experienced the most fantastic massage; however, they soon describe themselves as feeling invigorated and alert.

Jade Esthetic Facial & Body Sculpting™ does not rely upon a thermal energy source like a laser; therefore there is no inflammation or redness, no need to heal before seeing results, and absolutely no downtime. Clients can resume their day immediately.

  5. How soon does one see results?
While other Microcurrent Facial Treatments proclaim individuals may see some minor change after 3-4 sessions, and significant change only after 15-20 sessions, Jade Esthetic Facial & Body Sculpting™ will produce noticeable changes on the first visit. Further changes will be even more effective and lasting as your facial “memory” is achieved and sustained with more visits.
  6. How many sessions are recommended for the full treatment and how often?

Most clients need 10-15 treatments for the face and 5-7 treatments for the body in order to achieve satisfying results. Clients need a minimum of 2 sessions their first week, then one per week thereafter until treatment is complete.

Those who are on a short timeline, such as an approaching wedding, may be treated twice per week. Once a client is satisfied with their progress, they reduce their visits to monthly maintenance in order to keep the results.

  7. How long does each treatment last?
Each treatment is approximately 60 minutes.
  8. How long do the results last?
The client’s cosmetic investment is preserved as long as he or she is receiving maintenance treatments every 4-6 weeks. If maintenance treatments were to stop for longer than a month, there is a risk of gradually losing those results.
  9. How much should I expect to pay for treatments?
Individual treatments for the face run about $99-$149 and are more expensive than buying packages of treatments. Packages usually range from $500-$1100 but are well worth the savings to the client. Body Sculpting is generally twice the price of Facial Sculpting.
  10. How is Microcurrent Used for Cosmetic Treatment and Why is it so Effective?(The short answer)

Microcurrent, because of its close proximity to our own body’s current, works on a more cellular level to aid in the healing process. It is upon this initial cellular healing platform that we began our research and development into the use of Microcurrent for “aesthetic cellular regeneration”.

As we age, our body loses much of its natural electrical energy, similar to a battery gradually losing its charge. On a cellular level, this leads to a breakdown of collagen and elastin in our skin, which leads to sagging and unevenness of texture; lines, wrinkles, and folds become the inevitable result.

Beneath the skin, the facial muscles become increasingly contracted over years of facial expression and constant gravity, resulting in the overall lift of our face to drop. Microcurrent emits subtle electrical frequencies that mimic the body’s own electrical signals, thereby increasing the amount of ATP (adenosine triphosphate, the chemical fuel of human cells) by as much as 500%. Such increased levels of ATP speed cellular metabolism; the result is a detoxification that increases the rate of waste and impurity elimination.

Protein synthesis and cellular membrane transport are also increased, as well as the reconstitution of collagen and elastin. The results of these processes can be seen in improved skin tone and coloration, the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and the firming of sagging areas of the face and body.

Besides the increase in ATP, protein synthesis, and cellular membrane transport, clinical studies have consistently shown that Microcurrent causes the following:* 500% increase in ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate, the chemical fuel of energy)

    • 35% increase in blood circulation
    • 40% increase in Gluconeogenesis (production of new glucose)
    • 45% increase in the number of elastin fibers in the dermis
    • 50% increase in the length of the elastin fibers
    • 10% increase in collagen thickness in the connective tissue
    • 35% increase in the number of blood vessels
    • 28% increase lymphatic drainage

All of these combinations are key factors in the effectiveness of Microcurrent Facial Contouring.

The body is literally being recharged back to its more youthful electrical state, as though a draining battery were plugged into a charger. With each treatment, ATP levels are stockpiled or stored, which is why Microcurrent Facial Treatment results are cumulative and become better as a series of treatments progresses.

Many see results with only one treatment using my salon Jade Microcurrent machine. However such results may last only 48-72 hours in the initial treatment, then 3-4 days as you reach your 4th or 5th treatment. By the 6th or 8th treatment, muscle memory takes over and progress becomes more rapid and longer lasting, until only a booster treatment is needed every 4-6 weeks to maintain the results.
This is called “muscle re-education.” The dramatic increase of ATP levels allows muscles to stay in the re-educated positions for longer periods of time. The other attributing factor is an increase in blood circulation. Blood circulation has everything to do with the function, condition, color, and overall health of the skin, as well as underlying tissue.

Compare that to any “skin resurfacing” procedure which only stimulates collagen by wounding the dermis. Microcurrent does not rely upon wounding, nor does it require a healing process to show results.

  11. What is Microcurrent Facial Sculpting?
We’ve all seen the unnatural appearances that often result from facial cosmetic surgery; now people all over North America are discovering an alternative way to achieve the same, if not better, age-defying results and do so with a more natural look. Jade Esthetic Facial Sculpting™will change the way the world looks at non-surgical facial technology, because it does not rely on wounding the dermis to stimulate its anti-aging properties like traditional treatments. The benefits of Jade Esthetic Facial Sculpting™include:* Reduction of fine lines, creases, and wrinkles

    • Hydration and revitalization, resulting in smoother and softer skin
    • Improvement of blood circulation and lymphatic drainage
    • Rejuvenating restoration of the “pink glow” of youthful tones
    • Visible firming and contouring, lifting overall drooping features
    • Tightening of sagging jowls, doubling chins, and fatty cheeks
    • Closing of enlarged pores
    • Reduction of blackheads and acne
    • Reduction of scars and pitting
    • Reduction of dark circles and puffiness under eyes
    • Reduction of the symptoms from Eczema, Melasma , and RosaceaAll of this without pain, redness, soreness, swelling, downtime, or harmful side effects.
  12. What is Microcurrent Body Sculpting?
After more than 30 years developing Microcurrent Cosmetics, there is no achievement that has excited us more than Jade Esthetic Body Sculpting™ . Why? Because the results we are attaining on the body cannot be matched by any other technology on the planet!

Unlike facial aesthetics, there are few non-surgical choices for the body, and the few that are available, such as Mesotherapy, LipoDissolve®, and Endermologie, focus primarily on the reduction of cellulite, and are not without pain or risk of harmful side effects.

Now imagine a technology for body aesthetics that achieves the following:

    • Spot treatment in specific body areas
    • Tightening of loose or wrinkled skin
    • Overall fat and cellulite reduction
    • Body shaping and muscle toning
    • Boosts metabolism and energy levels
    • Reduces scars, acne, and stretch marks
    • Contributes to improved muscle strength
    • Treatment of post-pregnancy body issues
    • Reduction in calloused elbows and knees
    • Reduction measured in inches and dress sizes
      Resulting in…
    • Firm and lifted buttocks
    • Shapely legs
    • Toned stomach
    • Sleeker arms

Mark my Words! You will see Jade Esthetic Body Sculpting™ all over the news throughout 2007, since there is no other technology in the medical or beauty industry worldwide accomplishing these results on the body–all without the risk, expense, downtime, and pain of traditional body treatments.

Don’t confuse Microcurrent Body Sculpting with other “body contouring” technologies. True Microcurrent body sculpting involves a physical manipulation of the tissue and muscles while passing Microcurrent into those areas using a conductive instrument such as metal wands.

True Microcurrent body sculpting does not use sticky pads that are simply placed in various areas in static positions, nor does it rely on suction to “dissolve” cellulite.
